CDP Q&A

EDITED TO ADD: Sorry if this posts in people's readers again. I noticed that the typo that I SWEAR I fixed in the title before posting was STILL THERE, and also that when you go to my actual blog and are not viewing it in a reader, the bullets appeared to be all white (i.e., invisible) text except the links, which were enormous. So I am attempting to fix that.

It's time for another Crappy Day Present (CDP) Exchange over at Am Doing My Best's blog. I got my assignment yesterday and OH MY GOD YOU GUYS. Can I TELL you how excited I am at who I pulled? I AM SO EXCITED. *SO* EXCITED. Shopping for her is going to be a lot like shopping for me, so, yeah. SO EXCITED.

And since I can't recall if I've actually posted my answers to the official CDP questions or if I've just posted random facts that might help people shop for me, I decided I'd go ahead and post the official answers here.
What is your favorite color? Turquoise, purple, pink, orange. I wear a lot (a LOT) of black, but those are the colors I would like to surround myself with if I didn't have to share a house with other human beings.
What is your favorite season? Fall. I loathe summer (mostly I loathe the heat), but I love anything autumnal. Apple/pumpkin/cinnamon/caramel smells, that sort of thing.
What is your favorite treat? Sour Patch Kids are my favorite candy. I love coffee. I prefer fruit candies to chocolate (except for about one week a month, when I want All The Candies, and also can you pour that chocolate on those potato chips so I can shovel them in by the handful? Thanks.) and I cannot stomach chocolate and peanut butter together (I know. Am weird.). Oh, and I like wine, particularly pinot grigios/pinot noirs. And cake (or anything with frosting on it ... or just plain frosting, with a spoon).
What is your favorite scent? If something has "bergamot" listed in the scent, I am ALL OVER IT. Something about bergamot is like soothing, relaxing crack to me. Additionally, I typically like baked-goods and fruit smells. I'm very sensitive to floral-type smells, a lot of them give me a headache. (Lavender is usually safe.)
What is your favorite ice cream coping mechanism? Eating my feelings,  or losing myself in a good book or knitting project. (I didn't show you guys the brain slug I knitted for Temerity Jane's daughter Penny after her kidney surgery, did I? I'm pretty proud of myself here. I'd never knitted in the round, and I'd never knitted with two colors [which is apparently not technically possible in the round, but I wanted to do it anyway because stitching the second colors in with a needle seemed time-consuming, so I tried to fudge it but kept ended up with big-ass holes, and having to rip stuff out and after two days I finally said, "Fine. I will stitch by hand." and that took all of an hour and I totally could have saved myself two days and a lot of ripping stuff out. But now I know how to knit intarsia should I choose to attempt it not-in-the-round. I think I do, anyway. /randomstory].)

Brain slug!
What do you like to do in your free time moments? Read on my Kindle, write (blogs and novels I will never finish [but I have high hopes for the one I'm working on now] [no, I don't want to talk about it; I will talk about it if it ever gets done, maybe, if I feel like it's worth showing anyone]), knit, watch crap TV, eat.
What do you not enjoy doing, and why, but have to do anyway? Housework in general, but specifically vacuuming and unloading the dishwasher. Haaaaaaaaaate.
If someone gave you money with the instruction that you had to spend it on something frivolous for yourself, what would you buy? A massage, books, a pedicure, something along those lines. Oh! Or I would buy bubble bath/bath bombs.
Do you have any decorating themes in your home/office? Not really. Our current decor is "We have a toddler and a dog". A dog who eats EVERYTHING that is not put up out of his reach. Sigh.
Is there something that you REALLY, REALLY like?  (Burt’s Bees, horses, cats, fairies, unicorns, birds, patriotic stuff, babies, chocolate, Diet Coke, etc….) I like cloth diapers and have been itching to try some cute fitteds like TJ uses for Penny. That's about the lamest answer ever, right? Oh oh oh I'm also mildly obsessed with pajamas. Cute pajamas are one of my favorite things ever. (I wear a size 8/medium, should pajamas find their way to me.) And I really like the Backstreet Boys, and Jon Bon Jovi.
What is the VERY! BEST! present you have ever received and why was it the best? I honestly can't answer this. Kammah recently sent me two bottles of Noche wine from Cooper Vineyards because I was complaining on Twitter about how it's amazing and delicious and I had stupidly only bought one bottle there; that was a pretty kickass gift because it was totally unexpected and also delicious and booze-y. In my last CDP box Laura sent me a Soft Kitty mug that I adore. That was really fun because it combines two things I love (coffee and The Big Bang Theory), and because she picked it out special because of the "rock paper scissors lizard Spock" bib Lorelai was wearing at PJs at TJ's. I also like random stupid things, and I cannot think of an example of something I received as a gift but an example of the type of thing I mean is how I had to force myself NOT to buy the singing Justin Bieber doll at Marshall's. I really wanted it, not because I have any particular love for Bieber (I mean, his music is cute, I guess), but because it was just so silly I wanted it anyway.

BRAIN SLUG! I love him!

I am also super excited about the CDP exchange, despite my aversion to post offices. And I am thoroughly enjoying getting to read people's questionnaires!

I am so excited about this round too! Every time I'm like "oh, I should save the money" but then I can't turn down the opportunity to shop for my favorite internet people. So fun. Glad you like soft kitty :)
